Irineo Briones Asuncion, also known as Ireneo Briones Asuncion, 89, of Hanamaulu, Kauai, a retired plantation employee, died at home. He was born in the Philippines. He is survived by wife Basilia; sons Ryan, Joven and Jason; daughters Ayreen Valenzuela and Aida Okasaki; and seven grandchildren. Visitation: 8 a.m. Saturday at Immaculate Conception Church. Mass: 11 a.m. Burial to follow at Kauai Memorial Gardens.
