Thomas Elroy Kamae, 74, of Laie, a retired U.S. Postal Service mail carrier and Army veteran, died at home. He was born in Kahuku. He is survived by wife Thelma; sons Samuel "Moses," Thomas "Elroy" and Lesly "Melvin"; daughter Sandra "Kanoe" Mapuhi; brothers Samuel, Franklin and Kenui Kamae, Larry and Gabby Au, and Melvin Kalama; sisters Laverne Beatty, Auhea Johnson, Leilani Patter, Maydeen Ford, Napua Soto, Luana Ball, Martha Kaio, Judy Beyers, Aka and Noa Au and Evelyn Perry, Theresa Beckley and Napua Baker; and 14 grandchildren. Visitation: 7:30 a.m. Friday at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Laie First Ward. Services: noon. Burial: 1:30 p.m. at Laie Cemetery. Aloha attire. Flowers welcome.
