Carnation Haime Nanod, 83, of Kaunakakai, Molokai, a former Head Start teacher, supervisor and director, died at home. She was born in Kohala, Hawaii. She is survived by husband Filemon; sons David Sr., Glenn and Nathan Lance; daughters Valerie Gonzalez and Madeline Brown; brother Harry Haime; sisters Pauline Espanto and Rose Preza; 12 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. Visitation: 8:30 a.m. Thursday at Molokai Church of God, Kalamaula. Mass: 10 a.m. Burial to follow at Molokai Veterans Cemetery, Hoolehua. Casual attire.
