Hideo Muraoka, 85, of Hilo, a retired Kaumana Elementary School custodian and an Army veteran who served in the 442nd Regimental Combat Team, Company I, died in Yukio Okutsu State Veterans Home. He was born in Hilo. He is survived by sons Royd and Brian; sister Patricia Abe; two grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. Private services. No flowers. No monetary offerings.
