Riper Samuel, 85, of Honolulu, senior pastor of Bethel Church in the Federated States of Micronesia, died at the Queen's Medical Center. He was born in Chuuk, Federated States of Micronesia. He is survived by wife Kachiko; sons Repeat, Koachy, Emanuel, Risao and Robert; daughters Ristel Yechem, Risda Phillip, Keret Wood and Danty Samuel; 39 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren. Services: 1 p.m. Saturday at Kalihi Baptist Church. Final services and burial in Chuuk.
