George Yamamoto, 82, of Aiea, a retired state Department of Education administrator, executive director of the Hawaii State Teachers Association, president of the Hawaii Government Employees Association and an Army veteran who served in the Korean War, died in Pali Momi Medical Center. He was born in Koloa, Kauai. He is survived by wife Sueko "Sue," son Art, daughter Liz Y. Wentworth, brothers Richard and Dr. Steven, sister Gladys Sallas and a grandchild. Visitation: 5 p.m. Wednesday at Hosoi Garden Mortuary. Services: 6 p.m. Casual attire. No flowers.
