Alfred James Carvalho Sr., 91, of Kaneohe, a retired master boat builder and joiner at Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard, Shop 64, and an Army veteran, died in Kaneohe. He was born in Honolulu. He is survived by son John; daughters Patty Faris, Gloria Pagaduan and Gerrie Gould; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Visitation: 5:30 p.m. Wednesday at Hawaiian Memorial Park Mortuary. Services: 6:30 p.m. Additional visitation: 11:45 a.m. Thursday at St. Ann's Church, Kaneohe.
