Dec. 12, 2015 Yukio Uemura, 89, of Hilo, a Hawaiian Reinforcing Steel Co. ironworker and an Army veteran who served in World War II, died in Pohai Malama. He was born in Hilo. He is survived by son Colin and two grandchildren. Private services.
