Richard Kitae Tanaka, 93, of Kealakekua, Hawaii, a retired painter for the state Department of Accounting and General Services and a coffee farmer, died in Kona Community Hospital. He was born in Honaunau, Hawaii. He is survived by wife Takiyo, son Wayne, daughters Lynette Tanaka and Susan Higuchi, brother Herbert, sisters Evelyn Kirihara and Caroline Fujinaka, three grandchildren and a great-grandchild. Visitation: 3 p.m. Friday at Kona Hongwanji Mission, Kealakekua. Services: 4 p.m. Casual attire. No flowers.
