CLARENCE MINORU MURATA 94, of Honolulu passed away September 22, 2016 at home surrounded by his family. He was born in Honolulu on April 19, 1922. He was a supply specialist for Pearl Harbor Navy Supply Center until retirement and joined Waikiki Realty in his retirement years. Preceded in death by beloved wife Judith Sumako Murata. He is survived by his son, famed Okinawan musician Grant "Sandaa" Murata (Chikako); daughter, Clarice Villamil (Tyler) and 10 grandchildren. Visitation 5 pm on Monday, October 10 at Hosoi Garden Mortuary. Services will be held at 6 pm. Inurnment on October 12 at the National Cemetery of the Pacific (Punchbowl) at 2 pm. Aloha attire.
