Walter S.M. KimOn March 6, 2018 at the age of 88 our beloved father, Walter S.M. Kim, of Waimanalo went to be with our beloved mother, Myrtle W. Kim. He died peacefully surrounded by family at St. Francis Hospice House in Nuuanu. Dad was born on December 6, 1929 in Huelo, Maui to Yun Kiu and Martha (Luaehu) Kim. The family later moved to Honolulu where he graduated from Farrington High School in 1948 and was hired as a lineman for Hawaiian Telephone Company. In 1951 he was called to serve in the United States Army in Korea during the Korean War. He was discharged in 1953 and returned to Hawaiian Tel until he retired in 1987 with 30+ years as a Supervisor Project Engineer. Dad worked hard all his life and was a perfectionist which showed in everything he did; his beautiful yard & garden work, his wood work, in his Kim Chee making, and in his precise record & bookkeeping. Everything was to a T! Dad enjoyed going to Vegas and playing Pai Gow for hours, & Keno. He also spent hours doing his Sudoku Puzzles! He is survived by Sons: Greg (Tracy) Kim, Eric (Mela) Kim and Jason (Robin) Kim; Daughters: Denise (Dennis) Kim-Chaffin and Melissa Kim (Clyde Tanaka); 29 Grandchildren, 31 Great Grandchildren & 5 Great Great Grandchildren; Sisters-In-Law, Brother-In-Law and Numerous Nieces, Nephews, Family and Friends. Services will be held at Mililani Mortuary Downtown, 20 S. Kukui Street on April 9, 2018. "Aloha's" to Dad from 9:00-10:00 a.m., Services: 10:00 a.m. Interment: 1:00 p.m. at The National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific at Punchbowl. Aloha Attire. No Flowers.

Elizabeth R. Kula (Groeting) fondly "Vicki" was born on December 12th, 1922 in Quincy, IL to parents Erna & Benjamin Groeting. She married her soulmate Frank A. Kula, Jr., (Fritz), in November 1940. Devoted wife and mother, Vicki was an accomplished painter and taught for the Gloria Foss School of Art. She was a devout Catholic; a parishioner of Holy Trinity Catholic Church since 1964. Vicki was born to eternal life on March 5th, 2018. She is predeceased by her husband Frank and daughter Michelle Kaufmann (Kula). She is survived by her children David H. Kula, Leslie K. Craig, (Kula), husband D. Blair, and Stephen A. Kula, wife Deborah, 11 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. Memorial & Services will be held at Holy Trinity Catholic Church Saturday, April 7th at 1:00 PM. Sister Margaret Antone MilhoSister Margaret Antone Milho, O.S.F., 84, a Sister of St. Francis of the Neumann Communities, went home to God at St. Francis Convent, Honolulu, on Wednesday, March 14, after a lengthy illness. She was born in Kilauea, Kauai, the daughter of the late Antone and Margaret Quinones Milho. Sister entered the Sisters of St. Francis in 1952 and made her perpetual vows in 1958. She earned a Bachelor's degree at Chaminade College of Honolulu and a Master's degree at the University of Hawaii. Sister spent sixty years in Catholic school education as a teacher, counselor, and administrator. Her assignments took her to Central New York, New Jersey, and North Carolina. In Hawaii she was missioned in Ewa Beach, Hilo, Lahaina, Manoa, and Pearl City. In all these places she was noted for her dedication to her students, her love of French and her vivacious smile, graceful hula, and beautiful voice. Services will be held on Saturday morning, April 7, at St. Francis Convent, 2715 Pamoa Road in Manoa Valley: Visitation 8:30, Eulogy 9:45, Mass of Christian Burial 10:00, and inurnment at Diamond Memorial Park at 12:30 PM.
