RICHARD “ZEN” ZENJIRO YAMAUCHI
Richard "Zen" Zenjiro Yamauchi, 83, passed away peacefully on March 9, 2017, with his children and grandchildren at his side. Richard is preceded in death by wife Penelope, parents Eishin and Yoshiko, brother George, sister Florence Ishikawa and canine companion Leia. He is survived by son Kelvyn (MiCha) Yamauchi; daughters Claire (Dennis) Nishiguchi and Arlene (Shawn Omura) Yamauchi; 7 grandchildren, Cullen (Rachel) Arroyo, Culten Arroyo, Kristyn Nishiguchi, Randi Nishida, Dani Nishida, Shayna Omura and Anthony Inouye; brothers Thomas (Joanne) Yamauchi and Stanley (Janice) Ishikawa; sisters Helen (Kenneth) Yanamura, Dorothy Nada and Doris (Wilbert) Ching; and many nieces and nephews. Celebration of life service will be held at Mililani Downtown Mortuary, 20 S Kukui Street, Honolulu, on Friday, April 7, 2017. Visitation 9:30 am. Service 10:30 am. Burial 2:00 pm at Hawaii State Veterans Cemetery in Kaneohe. Casual attire. Flowers welcome.
