It is with a heavy heart to announce the passing of Sanford W.H. Wong on March 10, 2017 in Kaneohe, Hawaii. He is loved, cherished and will be remembered every day. He was a son, devoted partner, hard working father, supportive brother, caring uncle and true friend. Sanford, 59, was a local boy, born in Honolulu and raised in Kaneohe, Hawaii. He graduated from Castle High School and attended Honolulu Community College. He dedicated his career with 31-1/2 years of service to the Honolulu Police Department with the City & County of Honolulu and retired three years ago to enjoy the good life. He spent his retired time gardening, cooking and getting recipes and inspiration from the Food Channel, traveling and golfing. He was a co-chairperson for Hale Au Hau golf club and a member with NSC golf club. His smile, laughter and words of wisdom will forever be in our hearts and his memory will carry on through his partner Delight, his daughter Tracey, sisters Christine and Pamela, nephew Sean and loyal dog companions Oakley and Callaway. A memorial graveside service will be on Wednesday, April 12, 2017 at 10:00am at Hawaiian Memorial Park Cemetery, Pacific Slope. Casual attire. Flowers welcomed.
