ELIZABETH EVENSEN COCKETT
Elizabeth "Betty" Evensen Cockett, 90 years old, passed away peacefully on June 5, 2017 in Manoa at Hospice homecare. Born in Honolulu, Hawaii she was a 1944 graduate of Roosevelt High School. As an entrepreneur alongside her husband, she ran South Seas Sales & Printing Co. for over 20 years where she published Bryans Map book, popular Hawaiian coloring books, cookbooks, Hawaiian stories and sold imported shell leis across the islands. Between running her own business she traveled around the world and was able to share all of her wonderful stories and extensive knowledge of Hawaiian history with family and friends. As a true survivor of cancer twice, she was a dedicated wife, mother, and grandmother who lived a full and amazing life. Elizabeth is survived by her grandson, Michael Keoki Spain Jr; granddaughter, Malia Pedro and six great-grand- children. Services and celebration of life will be held at Epiphany Church on Saturday, July 15, 2017 at 10:30am visitation; 11:00am service. Flowers welcome.
