Eleanora Cambra Cadinha
88, Cadinha matriarch, her smile radiant, laugh contagious and deep love for her family and friends passed away on July 2, 2017. Eleanora was a fabulous cook and baker and was always willing to share her time and talents with anyone who asked. She presented cooking shows on Hawaiian Electric, cooking demos at the Old Liberty House, and even presented cooking classes at the Moiliili Community Center. Many of her recipes are published in many local cook books. She was renowned for her delicious Portuguese Bean Soup and delectable Malassadas. For her, sharing a meal was important, therapeutic, an opportunity to reflect on the day, deepen bonds and forge relationships. She was also active in her community through various charitable organizations. She was a Trustee of Ana Malia #208 Young Ladies Institute, President of the Pioneer Club and a member of the FCE. She worked tirelessly for their organizations on various fundraisers to raise money for their causes. If we have forgotten to show our gratitude enough for all the things you did, we're thanking you now. And we are hoping you knew all along, how much you meant to us.
