Age 86 of Kailua passed away peacefully at home on May 31, 2017. Born in California, the daughter of Mr. Byron Churchill and Josephine Smith Hunkins, the family moved to Hawaii in 1948. She was preceded in death by her husband Robert Emmett Dickie (February 27, 2014) and is survived by her son Robert Tell Dickie (Denver CO) and daughters Dawn Dickie Stewart (Chapel Hill NC) and Nalani Dickie Tanabe (Kailua HI), and grandchildren Alan Stewart and Tana Stewart, Morgan Dickie and Kennedy Dickie, Aleina Tanabe, and brother Richard Hunkins. A celebration of life and spreading of ashes off the beach for both parents will be held at 120 Kuailima St. in Lanikai at the Tanabe family home at 5:00 PM on Sunday, July 30, 2017.
