RICHARD DICKIE PUIKAIKAOKALANI ACHIU 79, of Waialua passed away on June 12, 2017 in Wahiawa with his family by his side. He was born on August 23, 1937 in Haleiwa. He retired from the City and County of Honolulu as a Heavy Equipment Operator at the Kawailoa Transfer Station. He is survived by his wife: Aileen, son: Troy (Racquel) Achiu, Daughters: Rhonda Carvalho and Mavis (Blake) Hookala. Brother: Austin "Kalani" Achiu, Sisters: Mildred "Millie" Silva, Helen Toki, Gladys "Nani" (Frederick) Souza, Esther (Joe) Grilho, and Pamela Sato. Celebration of life will be held on Friday, July 28, 2017 viewing at 5 PM with services to follow at 6:30 at the Mililani Mauka Chapel.
