Mark Noboru Kuraya
Mark Noboru Kuraya of Aiea, Hawaii, passed away on 6/27/17 at the age of 65 after a courageous battle with numerous illnesses. Mark was a remarkably talented musician, and God used his gifts to direct several church choirs in Hawaii. He touched many lives with his passion for music of the church and encouraged us to lead lives of worship in our everyday lives. He retired from his position as Music Minister of Makiki Christian Church in 2005, when he became disabled. Mark is survived by Lila, his wife of 32 years, who nursed him throughout his many illnesses, and son Bobby, who helped as a caregiver for his father, a sister, Susan Ishida (Russell), a brother, Noel (Karen), nephews, David and Brad, and niece, Ann. His celebration of life service will be held on Saturday, 8/5/17, 5:00pm, at Makiki Christian Church. Visitation from 4:00pm to 5:00pm. Additional parking available at McKinley High School. Casual attire. Private burial service.
Our deepest condolences to the family and friends of the deceased
