90, of Kaneohe, Hawaii died Friday, July 14, 2017 at the home of his daughter in Pomona, California. He was born on September 9, 1926 in the village of Waiakea Kai in Hilo, Hawaii. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II and stationed at such locales as Ft. Snelling in St. Paul, Minnesota and Ft. McClellan in Anniston, Alabama as well as in Korea He retired after 32 years of civilian service with the U.S. Navy at the Naval Submarine Base at Pearl Harbor, where he was a photographer and supervisor of the SubBase Photo Lab. He is survived by his daughter, Teresa Morishita of Pomona, California; cats, Polly Wog and Katherine "Kiki" Kealani; and numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by wife, Doris Sai Kuk Lum Morishita; father, Chojiro Morishita; mother, Yone Kajiyama Morishita; older brother, Shoichi Morishita; younger brother, Kakuji Morishita; and sisters, Masako Lai, Yoshiko Kida, Shizuko Terada, and Teruko Morishita. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 2, 2017 from 5:00-9:00 pm at Borthwick Mortuary with rosary services at 6:30 pm. Visitation and funeral mass will be held on Thursday, August 3, 2017 at 9:00 am with mass at 10 am at St. Anthony Church-Kalihi, 640 Puuhale Road, Honolulu, Hawaii. Burial will follow at 1:00 pm at Hawaiian Memorial Park Cemetary in Kaneohe, Hawaii. Arrangements under the direction of Borthwick Mortuary
