66, passed away peacefully at his home in Venice, Florida, on July 20, 2017. Born in New York, New York; raised in Turkey and Tucson, AZ. Alan lived in the Twin Cities for most of his adult life and had a long career at Hennepin County, retiring as a Program Manager in the Child Support Office. After his first retirement, he fulfilled his long-time dream and moved to Hawai'i for ten years, where he worked for the State Senate and Governor David Ige. Alan was preceded in death by his parents, Marjorie Cary and Huldi Sarhan. He is survived by his loving wife, Susan; sisters, Julie (Mike) Batchelder and Suzy (Wes) Stokes; brother, Richard Sarhan; and many beloved nieces, nephews, in-laws, and friends. No services.
